Hilton Hotel Renovation

When renovations in both Hilton buildings stumbled due to building code challenges, the projects came to a halt. Hilton faced a nearly impossible deadline to complete the renovations in time to honor their previously scheduled spring and summer events. They brought GBD on board to help shepherd the renovation projects from standstill to completion.

Our team carefully analyzed the existing plans created by three different international interior designers. Renovations for both towers included a broad range of spaces—lobbies, amenity spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, guest rooms, as well as one of Portland’s hottest restaurants—The Jackrabbit. The Jackrabbit is a 3,000 square foot boutique meat-centric eatery and the third Cockscomb restaurant led by celebrity chef Chris Cosentino’ (winner of Top Chef).

GBD worked with the design teams and a mechanical design-build consultant to strategically modify the designs, creating a streamlined process that ultimately allowed all of the spaces to be up and running smoothly, right on time. 

GBD served as the Executive Architect of Record, working with Punch (Interior Designer for Jackrabbit), Design Agency (Interior Designer for Duniway) and The Gettys (Interior Designer for Hilton).
