Steve has more than 20 years of architectural experience contributing to projects that span the west coast while remaining based in his hometown of Portland Oregon. Since joining GBD in 2004, Steve’s work has spanned a wide variety of project types including hospitality, multi-family residential, corporate headquarters, campus planning, institutional, and senior living communities. In addition to project management and team leadership, Steve brings a strong understanding of materials and building systems that lends to exemplary collaboration with consultants across all disciplines while leading projects to success. Steve’s ability to understand client values and track unique program requirements when evaluating solutions leads to cohesive, high-quality, projects from concept thru construction while never losing site of budget considerations. Understanding that delivery of complex projects relies on collaboration and team contributions, Steve focuses his efforts on supporting project team members through clear communication and an inclusive exchange of ideas throughout all project phases.
