November 28, 2022
We are excited to announce our Oregon State Treasury Resiliency Building has won the AIA Oregon 2030 Award!
This award is a part of a challenge to reach Carbon Neutral. The commitment is an actionable climate strategy that gives us a set of standards and goals for reaching net zero emissions in the built environment.
This building is the first USRC Platinum rated structure in Oregon and USRC base isolated structure in the United States. Rated with a life expectancy of 100 years, sustainability features at Net Zero, and EUI-27 Carbon Reduction of 40%, equaling 100 acres of forest. The exposed design avoided unnecessary materials while resisting natures forces, it strives to internally emulate and connect with nature for a relaxed, biophilic experience.
