Strata

Bend, Oregon

Situated in Bend, Oregon, the Strata Apartments is a six-story market-rate apartment building offering picturesque views of distant mountains, including the Three Sisters, Bachelor, Jefferson, and Pilot Butte. The site holds historical significance as the former location of the local newspaper, the Bend Bulletin. The color palette and building concept are inspired by the warm natural pigments native to the region and the natural layering in the region’s geographical surroundings, such as the Painted Hills. The interior design draws inspiration from the nostalgic aesthetics of the 1960s and 1970s, featuring bold, vibrant colors, geometric graphics, and whimsical details.

Featuring 85 units, this apartment building is thoughtfully designed with a focus on providing excellent amenities. Residents can enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces, including dedicated work-from-home pods, a cozy TV lounge, and a welcoming fire pit. The building is committed to sustainability, aiming for a 30% reduction in energy use, reflected in its impressive Energy Use Intensity (EUI) target of 32.
